My elder son, A, loves being read to and his favorite book is a compilation of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stories. If it were up to him, I would only read stories from that book to him, day and night.
One of the stories in the book is “Up, Up and Away”, where Mickey Mouse and his friends go on a hot air balloon adventure. The story teaches children about shapes and shadows – how they are created and how they change during different times of the day.
One afternoon, after reading that story we tried a simple craft activity, making a hot air balloon in the sky. If you would like to read the story to your children, along with making the hot air balloon, watch the book-reading video below.
Making the Hot Air Balloon
Your hot air balloon is ready to go “Up, Up and Away’ into the clouds.
