I love pictures. Not so much taking them or being in them, but surely love printing them and putting them in collage frames all over my bedroom. I do get lazy to update the photographs in the frames, but I make sure memories of all major events and milestones have their space on the walls all over the house.
We recently went on a very special and memorable holiday to Georgia. It was special, as it was our first holiday as a family of four. It was also the first time my sons saw and played with snow. While there, we did take a lot of photographs of the kids and a few of the four of us too. You can find lots of photographs and more details of our trip here.
Once back, I had an idea of making a special frame for a picture of the four of us in Georgia. My 4-year old son, who loves crafting, really wanted to be a part of the project.
I kept it simple, by using water paints on a canvas and giving it a colorful background, since our photograph had a lot of white in it. I used craft sticks to create a border for the photograph. For the photo itself, I created a double effect, by sticking a 5″x7″ photo and then a 4″x6″ copy of the same on top of it. I finished by writing names of some of the destinations we visited in Georgia. Most importantly, I mentioned the year 2017, as I hope I can continue this frame tradition for every holiday of ours.

Wow! We are planning a short trip to Georgia this month. I love the frame you created. Very crafty mama!
Georgia is supposed to be beautiful during the summer! Have a great trip.
This is really cute! Might make something like this during our summer holidays.
Thank You! Let me know how it turns out.
This is so clever! I think I may print out some pics with the boys these holidays and put together a gallery wall in their rooms with a whole batch of these!
Thank You. If you go ahead, do send me a pic of the outcome 🙂
Great work mama 😉 I love to keepsake family photos too 😍 this is such an inspiring idea 👍🏻
