On Friday, 26th April 2019, my husband, sons and I headed to the Museum of Illusions with varied expectations. I had seen so much of it on Instagram that I knew I wanted to walk out with some cool pictures of all of us. My husband just wanted to explore a new place with us, thankfully a place that did not involve any shopping, eating or running up and down play areas. The kids – well, they just wanted to have loads of fun!
Who doesn’t like taking pictures? Its the age of high-tech mobile cameras and Instagram, after all! And if you go to a place which is not only a lot of fun to be in, but also where you get to click a lot of fun pictures to take back home, that’s a double whammy! The fairly new Museum of Illusions in Al Seef is that kind of a place.

Some of our favorite photographic attractions were the The Chair Illusion, The Clone Table, Head on the Platter, the Rotated room and the Kaleidoscope.
Look! I shrunk my mom! – The Chair Illusion Playing some cards with myself at The Clone Table Spiderwoman feels! in the Rotated Room The Rotated Room I’m finally taller than this guy! – The Ames Room Craziness at the Ames Room All about me – The Kaleidoscope Love is all around – the Kaleidoscope Now you know it – These boys EAT my HEAD all day!
Other experiences that were really fun and my boys couldn’t have enough of were the Vortex Tunnel (they went through the tunnel at least 15 times!), the Anti-gravity (tilted) Room, the Color Room (it was a task to get the kids to leave from there!) and the Infinity Room.

The illusions and puzzles all around the museum were a lot of fun and good to challenge the minds of kids and adults, alike. Their Smart shop at the entrance/exit is a great place to buy puzzles, illusions or souvenirs to take back home.
Concentric circles or Sprials? Do you see the circles move? Read the color of the word not the word. How hard is it?
You can see more of the fun we had at the Museum of Illusions, here.
The Museum of Illusions in Al Seef, is a must visit for everyone young and old, residents and tourists, locals and expats in Dubai. I would give it 5 stars for entertainment and family fun!
